Keiren Charles, CFA

Chairman and Chief Investment Officer

Mr. Charles directs the investment strategy of CLC. He was previously Co-Head of Corporate Finance, South-East Asia at Credit Suisse, leading landmark business purchases, divestments and security issuances across countries and industries.

Mr. Charles’ investment approach involves investing in businesses globally on a concentrated basis, based on fundamental and other analysis. Investments have predominantly been in the technology, financial services, consumer and healthcare sectors. His investing experience is global, with particular experience in Asia.

Mr Charles previously also worked in investment banking at Deutsche Bank and practiced law focusing on mergers and acquisitions at Freehills (now Herbert Smith Freehills). He formerly taught classes and undertook research in finance and economics at the University of Melbourne in Australia.

Mr. Charles is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a qualified barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria, Australia. He holds a double degree in Commerce (Honours in Finance) and Law from the University of Melbourne.

Lim Shueh Yung

Managing Director

Ms. Lim was previously a fund manager at the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC), investing in global securities within GIC Real Estate and focused on concentrated strategic investments. She also worked in investment banking at UBS and practiced law at Allens Arthur Robinson (now Allens Linklaters), advising on business purchases, divestments and security issuances across the region.

Ms. Lim’s experience includes the consumer, technology, healthcare, financial services and real estate sectors. She previously taught classes in accounting at the University of Melbourne in Australia, and undertook research in global securities market regulations and corporate governance for the Centre for Corporate Law and Securities Regulation.

Ms. Lim holds a double degree in Commerce and Law (Honours) from the University of Melbourne, where she was recipient of the Blake Dawson Waldron and Corrs Chambers Westgarth law prizes. She is a former ASEAN Scholar and a qualified barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria, Australia.
